Take a look at the biographical facts which clearly show us the measure of his remarkable ministerial effectiveness.  He reached out early following God’s call to preach the Gospel to a dynamic Bible education culminating with a Doctor of Ministry.  In my 25 years of knowing Danny, I can tell you that he is gifted of the Lord with a big heart for pastoring, preaching, soul winning and church revitalization.  When I was serving as Director of Missions for the Saluda Baptist Association, I called on Danny to help some churches that were in serious decline and with inadequate funds to even call a full-time Pastor.  The most recent example of work in rebuilding and leading a church from an almost close the door and sell out situation is the Laurel Baptist Church in Greenville, for years one of the leading congregations in the upstate.  The man God used to lead this church back to a growing, dynamic ministry is Dr. Danny Burnley.

Now, after four years at Laurel, Danny is responding to the clear call of God to resign at the end of June and step forward in bold faith for an urgent ministry among our churches for encouragement and proven leadership in recovery and revitalization.  We have got to help him and underwrite him in this increasing need of churches that were once strong and growing, but are now struggling.

If many of us would pitch in to help, and churches with money available in their budget would commit for a year, we could be assured that a vital new ministry is alive and churches are rising from the basement to the choir loft with “Praise God from whom all blessings flow”!
